Rugby Town Girls FC U11s v Anstey Swifts Girls FC U11s

Well, what a difference a week makes! The team looked a completely different one from the one that played last week.

Again, Coach Tony made some tweaks, playing some of the girls in positions they were not familiar with, taking them out of their comfort zones. Rugby Town started as they meant to go on.

The positivity and enthusiasm was fantastic to see. The team played in an attacking manner from kick off which saw lots of action up front & a good number of shots on goal, especially towards the end of the first half. All of the team stepped up the work rate & the effort shown was fantastic.

Every single member of the team contributed as much as they could & they are all gelling really well in only their second game together.

Particular high points were fantastic efforts by Hannah, Kelsey & Amy in midfield who ran their socks off, with Kelsey putting in a few nifty turns. Tasha, Evie & Natalie who are starting to put some really good links together up front. Ella, who kept the pressure on the opposition and who played in a couple of different positions. Isabella, again, strong & solid in defence, sticking to the opposition like glue & Ellie had a good week in goal and made some very impressive saves from significant pressure from Ansty.

Player of the week awarded to Amy
