Rugby Town Girls & Ladies FC Events and Activities
5-a-side Girls Football Tournament – Saturday, 8th May 2010
| 14/2/09 | We would like to take this opportunity of introducing Rugby Town Girls FC. We are an FA Charter Standard girls only football club, having been established in the Rugby area for over 12 years. As part of our development, we have an on-going commitment to introduce more girls to football in the Rugby community area.
2010 will see the 6th Annual Girls Only Football Tournament for local schools which we expect to be just as well received and successful as previous years. This year the Club has managed to part fund the event through a small grant which enables us to keep the entrance fee to just £15 per team.
We invite your school to enter teams in this year’s 5 a-side tournament being held on Saturday, 8th May 2010 at Rugby Town’s Match Facility based at Kilsby Lane, home of girls & ladies football in Rugby. Schools can enter as many teams as they wish with a maximum of 9 players per squad. Each team will play a minimum of 4 games. | All girls taking part will receive a momento from the day and players from Rugby Town Ladies will be there to present trophies, answer questions and to also act as a role model for the girls playing in the event on the day.
The following facilities will be available on site: - • First Aid provided by St. John’s Ambulance. • Toilets/changing rooms. • Food and refreshments available to purchase from the clubhouse.
Closing date is: Friday 26th February 2010. At least one teacher must be present at the tournament. However, at your school’s discretion, you may want to ask if any parents are willing and able to help organise individual teams – there are already lots of girls out there playing regularly!
All tournament rules and location maps will be sent one week prior to the event or can be obtained from our website before the event.
If you have any queries, please contact me on my mobile number 07762 657827.
We look forward to hearing from you.
