 Rugby Town Girls Under 10s v East Goscote Girls - 4th March 2012
Rugby Town seemed like a different team this week as they started their first cup game of the season on a very cold and wet Sunday morning! Everyone was on form with Shakeira and Megan E’s defending meaning Megan S had little to do in goal but try and keep warm. Chloe and Charlie worked hard in midfield making sure the ball was mainly in East Goscote’s half. Eventually the teamwork paid off and Millie scored the first goal, quickly followed by one from Charlie and another from Millie to make the half time score 3 – 0. In the second half although East Goscote never stopped trying to score their efforts were thwarted by Kim, Shakeira and Megan E in defence and Charlie in goal. Meanwhile Chloe, Holly and Megan S were keeping the pressure on for the East Goscote defence and goalie, and after several near misses Megan S finally ended her goal draught to make the final score 4-0. Great play by all the girls who are now through to the semi-finals!
