AFC Barwell |
AFC Barwell stunned Rugby by scoring three goals in the opening five minutes, with Rugby again being slow to close down the opposition. May Burke and Kacie Elson worked tirelessly from midfield to reduce the arrears and between both of them they managed to get Rugby level before half time.
With the wind on there backs Rugby kicked of the second half and took the lead within nine seconds of the restart, with May grabbing her hatrick. Barwell never really troubled Rugby and with Gracie Fricker pestering the Barwell goalie Rugby began to take control. Katie Andrews who had not scored since the last meeting of these two teams broke her goal drought to make it five to Rugby. A perfect pass from May Burke found Kacie Elson on the edge of the area who found the space and time to score Rugbys sixth.
