A great performance from all the players today which earned a lot of praise from the referee and opposition coaches after the match. The players all performed well and looked more comfortable on the ball as well as showing increased awareness which led to the best team performance so far in what has already been a very good season.
The determination and enjoyment was evident throughout the whole match and the team pressed continuously to ensure the majority… of the match was played in the opposition half. Corby weren’t without their chances and strong defending was needed at times from Charlotte, Erin and Lexy who earned player of the match. Molly covered in defence and made some great passes and runs forward with the referee telling me that the first of her 4 goals was the best he had seen this season.
Megan, Charlie and Savannah were direct and kept going tirelessly at the opposition with Megan and Charlie scoring 2 each and Hannah took the forward balls whenever she had the chance and scored her first of the season to start the scoring off. Amber and Jodie played a half each in goal doing everything they needed to with Amber also dominating Corby players in the second half and Jodie scoring one in the first half.
Top of the table clash next Sunday which the players should be looking forward to. The work in training is showing out on the pitch and if the players continue on this route they will get even better
