Sunday saw Rugby Town Girls U13 (sponsored by Caring Help at Home Ltd) kick off their season in style against Cosby Lightning, Elle started the scoring with a well-crafted goal in the 3rd minute, to be followed by quick goals by Lucy & Freya.
With the safe hands of debutant Amy in goal, the ever classy defensive back 3 of Maddie, Thea & Olivia were up to the task of nullifying the significant attacking threat from Cosby.
The game witnessed persistent battling and desire from Grace (great debut), Amaani, Nathalie & Tilly in midfield with constant surging runs down the wings and decisive passing, fuelling Estere at the vanguard who richly deserved her debut hat trick.
Belle topped off a man of the match performance with her first goal for the team in her first game. All in all a brilliant first win with the girls showing what a smiling determined team can achieve.
