Inter Club Learning Experience Football Day

On a pleasant mild sunny Sunday in October with a break in league fixtures for all junior teams, the club designated the day an inter-club learning experience.  This involved all volunteers, teams, and squad players from under 7s to under 16s.

A great day starting at 9 am through to 3 pm providing lots of opportunities to try different coaching styles.  Plenty of games were played where the coaches gave ownership back to the team in formations and positions, allowing the girls to show their football leadership skills.

There was also time to explore new ideas in some CPD coach the coach sessions for some of our volunteer coaches to gain experience and explore ideas from each other.

Many of our “Squad Girls” also took part in the day, which provided a great setting for those that have not experienced taking part in a match day situation yet.

All of these activities ensured maximum benefit to all members.

We club looks forward to repeating the day later in the season for its 13 teams and 200 members.
