A tough away game for the u15s with a depleted squad due to injuries and sickness.

Groby have improved immensely since we drew at Kilsby lane and their confidence was there to see from the kick off. They never let Rugby get into the game and soon took the lead, Rugby pulled a goal back through Flick after some excellent play and a fine finish but Groby kept coming at Rugby and got there second just before half time.

The second half saw little change with Groby constantly pushing Rugby back and soon scored a third. As much as Rugby tried today, things just wouldn’t go their way, as the game went on Rugby started to tire and had no subs to freshen things up, Groby grabbed a fourth goal.

Rugby decided to go for it and switched to a 3-4-3 formation and started to improve, the back three started putting much needed tackles in with Alice becoming fearless in the tackle.

Today was one of those days for the girls, a big well done to Megan playing only her second ever game and giving it her all.

Star player was Alice who is turning into an excellent left back.
