Rugby Town U9 hosted Epworth Forest Tigresses on Sunday 12thof November. Before the start of the game, both teams paid their respects with a minute of silence for Remembrance Day.
The game started under light rain and a good pre-match warm-up was essential in view of the cold conditions. Epworth Forest is always proving a tough opponent and they certainly didn’t disappoint. Both teams played high-quality football and both defenses had to be really focused from the get-go. The girls were amazing at communicating with each other and it made the coach’s job very easy. The team is growing in confidence, and everyone is not afraid to try new skills.
POM: Laragh was our player of the match, she is always a great example for the team, showing great spirit and awesome skills. She is amazing at covering back as well as contributing to our forward play.
