The U11s were back on home soil this week against Blaby and Whetstone Lionesses. They started with Norah in goal, Olivia and Poppy in defence a midfield three of Ellen Ellie and Gracie and Millie leading the line.
A good start by both sides saw some neat football played with Olivia and Poppy holding firm and the wingers Ellen and Gracie showing plenty of good tracking and interceptions allowing the strong runs of Ellie and Millie to open up the opposition. The subs were rotated and Izzy, Sophie and Emma all slotted in seamlessly which allowed Rugby to finish the half in control.
The second half, begin similar to the first half and Norah was helping keeping them at bay, Rugby then took hold of the game and broke through and showed some lovely interplay between the girls on several occasions and produced some stunning football and a testament to the hard work of the girls in training keeping the watching crowd.
CPOM: Ellen, produced a fine example of a wingers role tracking and driving a getting into all the right places at right times.
PPOM: Gracie and Millie joint winners both again working hard for the team and getting there rewards.
